An exceptional find for those who seek height, elegance and originality.
This tall 19th century fireplace surround is made from the distinctive rose-pink Pierre Marbrière marble from the Burgundy region of France — the very same stone used in Château de Gilly.
Its proportions are commanding, with a height of 119 cm and a wide inner opening of 120.5 cm.
The hand-carved curved jambs create a unique silhouette that blends classical lines with natural grace.
The softly polished marble showcases embedded shell fossils and a gentle mix of warm rose, coral, and beige tones.
Reclaimed from a French estate and lightly restored, it retains its historical authenticity.
The patina is rich and mellow, and the form ideal for creating an architectural centrepiece in both period homes and modern spaces looking for depth and character.
