This original 18th century antique French fireplace surround is from the Burgundy region. A real museum piece. The Corton (from the village in the centre of the Burgundy vineyards) bicolor hard stone/marble was polished. One still feel the hand of the carver. One of the super pieces on the biennale at Tours & Taxis in Brussels. Louis XV period.
