Decorative Antique Cast Iron Stove with Brass Trim, Floral Ornament and Ash Drawer

This exceptional antique cast iron stove combines historic heating design with a highly decorative architectural presence. Its deep black cast iron body is enriched with warm brass accents, elaborate relief decoration and beautifully pierced side panels.

The front is organised around a tall arched firebox door framed by moulded ironwork. Above it, sculpted leaves, flowers and ribbon motifs create an elegant decorative crown. The central handle is itself highly ornamental and is set within a polished brass surround.

Tall pierced cast iron side panels feature an intricate composition of scrolling foliage, floral motifs and geometric details. These openwork sections bring visual lightness to the otherwise substantial iron structure and are among the most distinctive decorative features of the stove.

Across the top runs a broad profiled brass trim whose warm golden tone contrasts beautifully with the matt black iron. A fine ornamental border immediately below adds another layer of craftsmanship without making the design feel overly heavy.

The lower section incorporates a pull-out ash drawer finished with a white porcelain knob. The projecting front tray is also edged in brass, visually connecting the base with the upper cornice. The photographs clearly show the drawer fully extended.

The small sculptural feet and richly modelled decorative elements give this stove the presence of a piece of furniture rather than a purely utilitarian heating appliance.
