Old Cast-Iron Fireplace Inner Frame with Oval Rosette – 94.5 cm

This original old cast-iron fireplace inner frame combines compact proportions with finely detailed ornament. Measuring 94.5 cm wide, it fills the space between a marble or stone mantel and the firebox, reducing the opening with a distinctive decorative border.

Generously rounded upper corners connect the broad top section to the straight uprights. At the centre, a floral rosette with elongated petals sits within an oval cartouche, flanked by symmetrical foliage and scrollwork. A regular diamond pattern containing small floral motifs extends across the surrounding surfaces. Larger arabesques overlay this geometric background on the side panels, incorporating heart-shaped scrolls and flower details above plain plinths.

The gently curved surfaces and raised casting create depth within a relatively shallow profile. Light catches the black finish, revealing anthracite tones and bright highlights along the ornament. White marble provides a crisp contrast, while warm beige limestone offers a softer, more rustic combination.

Its French-inspired design brings character to timeless interiors and detail to eclectic rooms. Paired with clean-lined modern furniture or contemporary art, the intricate relief becomes a considered decorative accent.

Condition: wear consistent with age and use. Original old cast iron may be slightly twisted. The height can be adapted to the customer’s requirements by arrangement.
