Early 18th century French country, campagnard grey marble hard stone fireplace surround. The proportions are exquisite. Large front and slow moving jambs. It is unique to see the shine and reflection of the stone as well as the carving details. This early Louis XIV period vintage chimneypiece still carries a very nice original patina. This chimney could work perfectly in a modern or even timeless contemporary interior design.
