This particularly fine and rare 18th century wall fountain / font is carved from richly figured Breccia marble, known as Breccia Nouvelle, quarried in the south of France. A true architectural jewel, this authentic antique piece embodies the refinement and craftsmanship of the late Ancien Régime period.
The marble displays a luxurious polychrome palette of deep charcoal greys, warm terracotta reds, soft blush tones, ivory fragments and subtle mineral veining.
