Exceptional, impressive and Monumental 19th century antique fireplace surround from the Elysee in Paris. The Royal marble came from in Vier-Bordes, Haute Pyrenees, France.A carrier active since the XV th. century.and in meantime closed. This unique marble was used in the Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire in Lourdes. A column in the porch of the St-Quiterie church. ( ref : Book , Identification of Marbels from the hand of J.Dubarry de Lassale.) Provenance: probably Elysee Paris due to the works ordered by the French President Pompidou. One of the few chimney mantles of the Haute Collection of Maison leon Van den Bogaert Antique Fireplaces And Architectural Elements.
