Louis XV Style Cast Iron Fireplace Inner Frame – 122.5 cm

This original old cast iron fireplace inner frame brings flowing lines and finely cast ornament to a marble or stone mantel. Measuring 122.5 cm wide, it fills the space between the decorative surround and the firebox, reducing the opening with an expressive architectural border.

The shaped upper outline is echoed by the undulating edge above the inner opening. A central rocaille ornament with small flowers anchors the composition, surrounded by sweeping foliage and elongated scrolls. Broad, fanlike leaf motifs mark the upper corners. Slender arabesques, pendant details and delicate borders extend down the uprights, ending above plain plinths.

Curved surfaces give the frame depth, while the raised decoration catches the light against its black finish. Anthracite tones and silvery reflections reveal the floral details and flowing contours. White marble offers a striking contrast; warm beige limestone creates a softer, more rustic pairing.

The design evokes French Louis XV style and lends itself to refined, timeless interiors. Alongside modern furniture and contemporary art, its sculptural outline adds movement and historical character to an eclectic setting.
